Mia Antonopoulos
Osteopath
(Available Monday-Thursday)
Mia believes that Osteopathy takes a holistic approach to healthcare, which allows her to gain a deeper understanding of your individual needs, thus empowering patients to manage their injuries and take an active part in their own treatment. Mia truly believes that a patient’s understanding is one of the biggest factors to their management and rehabilitation. That is why she always makes sure that patients understand the ‘what’, ‘how’ and ‘why’ of their complaints.
Although she has a strong background in all things sports, she loves to treat people of all walks of life. Whether it’s an acute injury, chronic condition, or the cheeky flare up from doing something you knew you shouldn’t have done, she’ll help you understand and manage your condition.
Mia has been lucky in her career to do a bit of travelling whilst working as an Osteopath, in rural Australia and overseas. These experiences have exposed her to a large range of conditions, some that are not common in major cities. Mia’s overseas experience includes travelling to New Zealand with a rowing squad, and working in an Orthopaedic Hospital in India, alongside some incredibly talented Orthopaedic Surgeons. Whilst living in Queensland, Mia frequently visited Roma where she would travel to treat the local rural farming community.
With over ten years experience, Mia uses a range of different techniques, including dry needling, cupping, myofascial release and sports rehabilitation.
When she’s not in the clinic, you can find Mia searching for new local coffee spots, training in the gym at BFT, bench warming for her local footy club, or planning her next overseas travels.
